My first "quarantine" project of 2020 was this X brace console table. Our entry way was very long and the table I previously had there just wasn't cutting it... It didn't fit may style or the space. But being that our budget was basically non existent for the console table of my dreams from Cost Plus. So I set out to find a design I liked via Pinterest and stumbled upon this X Brace Console table from The Rogue Engineer.
It seemed pretty straight forward... and I had the tools to complete the project... well mostly. So I headed to home depot to get the supplies. This being my first build I had no idea what I was doing but I had printed out the directions and I was going to follow them. What could go wrong? Well it's safe to say... I learned a lot from this first build. How to measure properly, how to make the cuts, how to find the right angles. This table is by no means perfect, but I am pretty proud of how it turned out.
